today i went to serangoon stadium with soccer girls to watch the first match of the 2008 season of the Women's Premier League! well i thought we were going to watch our coach melissa's club play but hers was at clementi and she told us to watch Arion Women's FC vs Young Women instead, btw just found out that Arion were the runners-up last year. anyway i checked the fixtures, most of Police FC's matches are at the Home Team Acad which is damn far at bishan and isn't like a stadium so there aren't proper seats. so i guess the most probable time when we can go see them is when they play at jalan besar on 19 april against Young Women, 3 may against Arion Women's FC, and 10 may against Redhill Rangers FC.

the keeper's didnt make any really outstanding saves today tho. oh ya the score was 1-1, Arion were the better team unlucky that they had to concede a penalty.

i feel like an update just to procrastinate. haha anyway half my day was burnt today attending a briefing for class cip at redhill. then we went over to ikea for lunch and had such great fun over disgusting coversation topics, and yes, it was over LUNCH. dont know how i managed to finish my food with all that talk going around haha. and then it was SHOPPING! :D and guanwei commented, "now i understand why girls spend so much in ikea; they see anything they like they just grab one leh!" hahaha.

reached home, made up for lost sleep and now i seriously need to start on bio! random stuff happening next week: meeting chengliang before he goes for ns (which makes me think of jocelyn and i miss her ):), year1s' Os results coming out, WATER FIESTA, go green day............ yeap, thats as far as i can remember :D and i promise i will study a lot of bio and finish math before i can watch blackburn or liverpool!

i wanted to blog yesterday but suddenly i was so overcome by fatigue i just fell asleep on the sofa and left the computer running until my dad woke me up at about 645 am. anyway i'm kinda peeved now cos Liverpool conceded a goal so we're 1-0 down. hopefully second half will be better.

yesterday was soccer trials. amazingly more girls turned up than guys. really amazing, i think its like a milestone in the whole history of girls soccer in tj :D fridays are the best for me cos i end school at 1050! but then i have to wait all the way till 4 for trng to start. so the 5 hours spent yesterday was bball with classmates, library with chinkai debbie &eunice, lunch with chinkai, watching ppl play street soccer, talking to chinkai, sleeping at the sports com since weather was conducive... see, no studying mentioned haha. i think i deserved a short break after such a harrowing week :D

my ogms are funny. they have mass convo on msn every night. and they talk about funny stuff. anyway i have too much work and i'm too damn tired to talk about orientation. but I LOVE OG 5 :D

trng was great today. to me at least. because i had fun :D even tho only got 6 or 7 people, but at the end when play match super shuang. cos there was once where i got the ball and somehow i managed to escape the defender. so was sprinting damn fast towards the goal and can feel the adrenaline rush it was AWESOME :D shixuan was running alongside me and since i was dint want to waste the opportunity decided to push the ball forward for her to score. setting up a goal and scoring a goal feels equally good (: BUT I STILL LOVE GOALKEEPING THE MOST.

watching Manchester City vs Blackburn Rovers now. and it is one seriously crazy match i tell you. when Vassell scored the opening goal for Man City, everything started happening like really fast. barely one minute later, Roque Santa Cruz equalised for Blackburn, then another minute later and Man City regained their one goal lead with an own goal from Nelsen. haha so interesting man but not as crazy as the Chelsea game.

i was so dead tired when i came back from ogl "day camp" yesterday. must be because of the street soccer after that, even tho i played gk and never run around as much as the other guys did. pick ball also not i pick LOL. anyway ryan asked me something while playing and i thought about it again while watching the Man City match. he said, do you feel scared when the defenders back pass to you and then there's a striker running towards you? and i was forced to admit that yes la, of course i'm scared. watching the Man City match, there were quite a few times where the defenders back passed to Hart, and there was once where two strikers came charging at him but he still took his time, then pump the ball forward. all done in his own pace as if the Blackburn players were non existant. haha alright this is nothing much la but its just food for thought for me. like my dad always tells me, WATCH AND LEARN :D

back to the match, final score is Manchester City 2-2 Blackburn Rovers. guess who scored the equaliser AGAIN! yup, its Santa Cruz! i havent watched Man City play in quite awhile, so its quite sad to know that Kasper is not even on the substitutes anymore ): but my favourite Corluka is improving, he's even helping in attack now haha :D

EL CLASICO RESULT: BARCELONA 0-1 REAL MADRID

to be honest and unbiased, Real wasn't the better team in terms of attacking. Barca attacked about twice as much as Real, with 16 shots on goal compared to Real's 9. BUT thanks to our superb defence and ABSOLUTELY MOST WONDERFUL GOALKEEPER AND THAT IS CASILLAS (my hero, inspiration, idol, etc), we managed to cling on to Baptista's first half goal and gain 3 valuable points, extending the gap between us and our closest rivals to 7 points :D

i was drifting in and out of sleep during the second half cos i was so tired and then i would wake up everytime i hear the commentator raise his voice in excitement, only to see Barca nearly scoring which gave me like 10,000 heart attacks. but of course, our defense would be there to thwart Barca's efforts.

Why I Love Iker Casillas
1. he made a total of 16 saves to keep a clean sheet against Barca, 6 of which were very good ones.
2. his bravery! there was once where he came right out, almost at the edge of the penalty box and dived at the feet of Eto'o, then the ball went to Iniesta and Casillas recovered extremely quickly and pushed the ball away for a corner. phew.
3. lightning quick reflexes! he saved from Ronaldinho and was down on the ground when the rebound fell to Deco which was saved miraculously with his legs. double phew.
4. he's fierce. watch the way he commanded the defense and how he howled his lungs out from the goalpost. a natural born leader. no wonder he is Real's third captain and Spain's vice-captain.

outing with my slc friends was quite fun! erm a few of us met at 1 at the airport first then went over to macs to eat and talk. turns out 1807 were having an outing there too so we kinda combined. anyway, the early birds were tenghan, cuishan, jiayi, siewyuen, junmin, yulan, shihe and me. eh i realised that all their names are chinese except for mine haha. talk crap for damn long cos had to wait for vincent who could only come at 430. crap involved trying to get each other to tell our "life stories", niaoing jiayi and tenghan, trying extreme ways to get cuishan to talk cos he's super quiet haha.

finally at close to 5 shihe and siewyuen had to go so we sent them off at the mrt and picked vincent up. then had a hard time persuading tenghan and cuishan to stay till 6 but we suceeded anyway so headed back to macs to play taboo which vincent brought. when they left, me, jiayi, junmin and vincent went to eat dinner at breeks and just as we finished, some 18 guys, donglin, yuang and randy came over so we all went to the viewing gallery to play one game of murderer then taboo.

and it was damn funny la i think we made so much noise laughing and shouting la. dong and yuang would use soccer to describe like every single word. then towards the end vincent and i were on a winning streak thanks to the words WILLOW and CAPITAL and FORTUNE and a lot more but i cant remember haha. cos before that when we played at macs already used those words so we were like describing it in the exact same way and laughing so hard while the others were like huh?

when we finally left it was about 9 then we walk past fish &co and saw that they were screening man u vs everton! so five idiots were standing outside trying to watch through the glass while the diners were bewildered by us LOL.

yesterday celebrated birthday with best friends from sec 1 &2. our original plan was to go eat crabs at the crab place in joo chiat, but it was CLOSED ): and we were pissed with xiaoxian cos she still happily tell us got NO QUEUE haha. so we went over to old airport road instead. haha and we ordered sooooo much food la! couldnt finish the chicken wings and cos amanda didnt want to waste food, we almost played zong ji mi ma to decide who should finish them up. i say almost cos we decided we were too full and decided to leave it la, much to amanda's distress LOL.

haha thats the amount of lala andrea &i polished off. and we were so insistent on ordering it and it was super nice :D i think we practically ate the whole dish ourselves la, between the two of us, happily in our LALA LAND hahaha. oh ya amanda &xiaotian's bus broke down on their way to the hawker centre haha and they kept trying to push the blame to each other but i'm sure its their combined effort la!

then we went to andrea's house for a surprise for me, and amelia kept trying to scare me by saying something along the lines of dumping me in the swimming pool or sth. haha but anyway the surpise was a very nice one, I AM SUPER TOUCHED THANK YOU EVERYONE :DDD well they got a cake for me and made me wait at the playground getting bitten by mosquitoes while andrea &amelia prepared the cake. and i recieved my second present ALSO REAL MADRID RELATED, and its a REAL MADRID FOOTBALL haha.

okay time to blog about more china trip stuff :D

I PROMISED JOCELYN I WOULD BLOG TODAY SO HERE I AM :D today i went out with her, huiyun, audrey and chengliang. to celebrate my birthday YAY :DDDDD

anyway! i wanted to blog about my china trip BUT it was such a long one i cant really rmb every single detail haha. so shall just talk about the interesting bits. OH WAIT there were quite a lot of interesting bits so shall mention SOME only hahaha.

tianjin was alright la (lucky we only stayed there for 4 days), but BEIJING WAS AWESOME! however the journey from tianjin to beijing was crazy cos there was a MASSIVE TRAFFIC JAM and we jammed there for 3 hours when the estimated journey supposed to be 1 hour? but the best thing was, I FORGOT TO GO TO THE TOILET DURING LUNCH SO MY BLADDER WAS LITERALLY BURSTING. up to the point that i almost couldn't take it alr, nearly wanted to pee in the pee bag in the bus okay! when we finally reached a public toilet, rushed down like a mad dog but i'm sure you have all heard of how famous china toilets are right!

on first glance, the toilet looks alright BUT THE SMELL WAS OVERWHELMING. plus NO DOORS, WALLS SEPARATING THE CUBICLES ONLY WAIST HIGH. ALL SQUATTING SOME MORE. so we all took a step in, saw two china ladies doing their business, then we hurriedly stepped out again. but they were taking awfully long and practically the whole bus needed to pee so couldnt help it, we went two by two. yubing &i went tgt and we were happily relieving ourselves when one of the china ladies got up to leave. and i think she was unhappy about us walking in, stare at her in shock and walk out again, so she started scolding us WHILE I WAS STILL PEEING AND MY NAKED BUTT WAS EXPOSED TO HER OKAY. worst thing was i couldnt even understand what the hell she saying so just kept going, SORRY SORRY SORRY! some more she stand right beside my cubicle la! everything exposed to her alr sia!

haha okay so in beijing, my roomie was yingen! but the room we were assigned to was super far away from civilization la! everyone elses room was like clustered tgt but ours was the only room where you had to walk down the whole length of this SUPER EXTREMELY CRAZY LONG corridor. OURS WAS THE ROOM RIGHT AT THE END. yingen said: look on the bright side! at least we're the nearest to the fire exit. TOO BAD GOT NO FIRE WAHAHA. damn scary to be in like an isolated room la! the first night i was bathing, yingen was doing pt in sarah's room therefore I WAS ALONE. scenes from various horror movies started surfacing in my mind okay. so i bathed quickly and was wearing my pjs when THE DOORBELL STARTED RINGING AND THERE WERE MULTIPLE, NO, TEN THOUSAND KNOCKS ON THE DOOR. so i hurriedly wore my clothes and went to look in the peephole. and since i wasnt wearing contacts/specs, could only see BLACK FIGURES which did no good to my already weakened heart. WHEN I OPENED THE DOOR, A KNIFE SLASHED THROUGH THE DARKNESS AND STABBED ME THROUGH THE HEART.

HAHAHA no la of course not! like that i wont be here to blog alr hahaha. anyway, anti-climax la it was the teachers! haha THANKFULLY :D the looooonngggg corridor to our room was also quite scary cos the lighting quite dim. doors also very dark colour. yingen &i both fell down on that horrible corridor okay! and when we fell it was while sprinting back to our room after we visit other rooms. but i think quite funny la, i fell down cos i felt i wasnt running fast enough with the hotel slippers on so i kicked them off and when i wanted to pick them up i just fell to the ground. hahaha.

so we thought of a way to overcome the scary nights in our room. and the brilliant solution was to................................... ORGANISE A PARTY EVERY NIGHT AT OUR ROOM! and we always insisted it had to be our room. ROOM 2060 YAYWOO :D damn happening sia our room, we were damn noisy but thankfully our neighbours dint complain. oh ya GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT DURING THE TRIP: I TAUGHT MY CSE MATES MURDERER! MUAHAHAHA see it is damn fun okay! at first they dint really want to play it but after i taught them and we played, EVERYONE WAS ADDICTED! hahaha and we played it like EVERYDAY! HAHA ME THE GROUNDBREAKER!

ermmmm okay i cant think of anything else at the moment so shall stop for now, plus i want to watch sea games! :D

LIVERPOOL NOT SHY ONE LEH. visitors at st james park and they still managed to rout newcastle 3-0. liverpool's the teacher, and newcastle's the schoolboys. lesson learnt. hah!

BOLTON NOT SHY ONE LEH. how dare they cause an upset to the visiting champions, something which they have not done for 30+ years! hahaha but cant say i'm complaining, it was a joy watching jussi jaaskelainen perform that acrobatic save to deny man u an equaliser.

REAL MADRID NOT SHY ONE LEH. despite scoring 6 minutes into the game, that was their one and only pathetic goal and the end result was a draw. what the crap! and guti got sent off late in the game! what the double crap!

haha an hour ago i was about to type an entry beginning with: I'M HOME but now i'm home for an hour plus alr, all thanks to my dear slc friends who flooded my msn the moment i came online. and the convo was damn crap i tell you! its like, failed attempt to play murderer online. it became more like the, lets-see-who-to-kill game. haha quite funny la, i really miss the slc days man! but my group is going to plan an outing soon! yaywoo an outing to play murderer :D LOL even samuel also say we play murderer until siao liao alr. WE ALL NOT SHY ONE LA HAHA.

today had trng, then went to watch au &chua at cathay b &j's. OH YA MUST SAY THAT MY FACE GOT WHACKED BY THE BALL DAMN HARD DURING TRNG ALRIGHT. haha am quite tired now but am watching internationals :D will be off to china in 5 days time! dont think i'll be updating so TILL THEN, FOLKS! :D oh ya must say that i met weeling on the bus just now also! haha havent seen her in ages.

alright am back from slc. actually was back like 2 days ago but damn tired ah must sleep more then blog haha. alright man time to talk about slc :D

day 1. quite a boring day. soccer girls + charlene the blackie + xinyu ponned the talks in the morning and went to the playground instead. haha sorry charlene i think that was when all the niaoing about her blackness started (and lasted throughout the whole camp). anyway found out that both debbie &i were in the same big group, tho different sub groups, but we still decided to stick with each other la haha. and she became my camp buddy yaywoo :D bus arrived at night and we set off for ipoh.

day 2. my group did caving first. so we went to explore this cave which was really huge took us around 4 hours to walk through and back. and have to crawl on rocks at the low areas so my knees damn pain. amazingly i dint get any abrasions at all, think must be skin thick already thanks to goalkeeping. haha okay hmmmmmmm oh ya we took a lorry to the campsite. and since the lorry is like open air, you stand on it cos a lot of people and have to occasionally watch out when to duck to avoid getting slapped by trees. quite funny la. oh the toilet at the campsite sucks. its damn open and dont have doors or cubicles for the showering area. so was bathing with huiyun when suddenly our water supply became just drips of water. then we looked over to the guys toilet and realised theyre water was at full blast la. haha also quite funny la. had nightwalk then tired so went to sleep quite early. oh but me, debbie &nat were talking a lot in the tent before we slept haha. we are all camp buddies along with chinkai :D

day 3. probably the most fun day. we abseiled down a waterfall. expected the waterfall to be damn big and long or something but it was quite short la about half the size of what i expected haha. a bit sian tho, cos a lot of waiting and do the activity only like 5minutes? and the water was freezing i tell you, my teeth were chattering when i was inside la. then erm we walked to the white water rafting place. had lunch first then we did the most fun activity which was rafting la. i think the funniest part was when everytime you get stuck among the rocks or something and cannot move then everyone had to bounce up and down. okay so then we rowed the boat or raft or whatever all the way back to our campsite. at night had campfire but was feeling quite sian. then there were the dares also. they only chose 9 dares so quite funny that the one where i dared trinity to do the mocca ad was chosen. after campfire we played bluff, then mostly murderer. oh and we would always play indian poker to decide who should go and wash the dishes. haha damn fun la my group. so we played murderer for like damn long then everyone quite sian already so change to this game where got forfeit one. by then already most people went to sleep tho still got quite a number hanging around the canteen playing games or talking. i had 2 forfeits, one was to go to jiawei (some guy tt they always make fun of some biceps thing) and confess to him and must talk about his biceps somemore, for 30 seconds. another was to go to sam and tell him "i want to listen to your heartbeat" using the torchlight as a stethoscope. then we decided to play murderer again but by tt time it was like what, 4+ am already so everyone quite sleepy. so very funny the narrator was like, "okay everyone go to sleep.... now next morning, everbody wake up. aye, everbody wake up!" but of course no one woke up la hahaha.

day 4. mostly did packing up, left the campsite for hot springs, played more murderer on the bus... haha. actually i dint intend to go into the hot spring la, cos i dint want to bring home more wet clothes. so i followed yingen they all and we ended up soaking our feet inside for quite long. and cos we followed the camp instructor we went to the hotter but smaller one while everyone else went to the super big like swimming pool one. by the time i came out my feet were red like a lobster la, seriously! okay so after lunch it was time to embark on our long journey home. played murderer on the bus AGAIN (seriously, it is like the most fun camp game haha) then fell asleep until dinner. huiyun and i went to the supermarket to get stuff for our family and we just grabbed anything off the shelves haha. watched ratatouille on the bus! and then it was back in singapore.

thats the end of blogging about slc! :D woooo damn long sia! haha and this entry is going to be even longer cos i'm gonna talk about yesterday! went to vivo to celebrate huiyun's bday WHICH IS TODAY with jocelyn and chengliang. they already reserved a place for us at this german restaurant, cant remember the name tho haha. cant pronounce it either. but the best thing about the place was that it was showing espn, which had like a 10 MINUTE FEATURE ALL ABOUT GUTI :DDDDDD and there was this waiter who looked like alan smith so i lost $$ to jocelyn cos i dared her to call him alan smith haha. alright i am quite tired from typing so much already so THE END.

one rekindled friendship. i really think football unites the world man. i havent spoken to him in like what, 2, almost 3 years? and thanks to a "LIVERPOOL 8-0 BESIKTAS" we spoke for 4 hours straight like old friends do. :D

had trng today, i mean yesterday. got two new coaches? ex tjcians apparently. anyway feels good to have someone to guide you NO OFFENSE SHIXUAN, but really you benefit more.

got an invitation to join an outside club. haha quite funny la its an all guys team but they need a keeper. i like watching guys play but i dont know if i really want to seriously play with them. once in awhile, just for fun is alright la haha. shall see. in the meantime, man u is starting soon i gotta wake my dad..............

so my overall score was 54/100. LOL yes i clicked on that stupid goalpost like 100 times but the Buffon animations are damn funny and you actually get a real kick out of it for like the first 50 times then after tt its just personal, you seriously want to beat him. and there are actually people who take 50000 kicks alright!

anyway i bought a new pair of gloves today. and i am super duper touched by what my daddy did! i will love him forever :D well i am a super fussy person and when i see something i like i must have it and must be the exact same design. so i was trying to find the gloves that i saw a few months back and we walked around the whole of queensway but couldn't find. and actually i gave up already and was kind of black faced and in a bad mood when my dad said to go and try one last store. MY DAD ACTUALLY BOUGHT ME A PAIR OF GLOVES THAT IS LIKE DAMN EX EVEN THOUGH I WILL USE IT FOR LESS THAN A YEAR. AND HE IS USUALLY A THRIFTY PERSON, HE ONLY BUYS STUFF THAT ARE GOOD IN THE LONG RUN THAT SORT OF THING. WAHAHAHAHA. what a happy happy happy birthday for Guti! seriously, GUTI IS DAMN MOTHER GOOD OKAY. i am not being biased but you see the way he play la! you get the feeling that he sets up goals where and when he likes. 3/5 of Real's goals were created by Guti okay, as quoted from Real's website: Guti became his team's main playmaker and established himself once again as one of the best players in the Spanish League.

when you support, you undergo or endure whatever it is that youre supporting is facing. thats not the best definition in the world but i think the word endure is so suited for hard times like NOW.

the point is, Liverpool lost. and they are currently at the bottom of their group with only 1 point. this is embarrasing but it is where support and endurance comes in. another Sami Hyppia own goal, sloppy defending. but the attackers did not seem to feel any sense of urgency until the 2nd goal was conceded and the game was close to the end. oh well, i guess this would be a lesson learnt. (hopefully)

looking on the bright side, Real Madrid won :D using the commentator's words, they were down 1-2 but stormed back with a 4-2 victory even though van Nistelrooy missed a penalty.

guess it would be a dull day ahead since Real's victory is clouded over by Liverpool's bad performance.

wheeeeee waiting for rugby to start now. All Blacks vs France at 3am. :D i so love the life after promos. Real Madrid vs Recreativo Huelva and Liverpool vs Tottenham tmr. both teams had quite a bad champions league on thursday so i really hope they'll bounce back. yayyy must have faith in my favourite teams :D

i met up with my bestest friends in the whole wide world on friday! :D it was quite a last minute thing, jo called at around 5 asking if we could meet up later. and of course the best place to meet would be at parkway right! met the twins first cos jo boarded the wrong bus i think! after eating at kfc we went to mos then macs to chat and jo &i shared another 20pc nuggets! haha we are such pigggggggs..... and we just sat there and talked about old times and new times and like everything under then sun. lol.

then we decided that it was not enough so we were going to meet again the next day! haha. so on saturday i woke up damn early to go to school for a run, and i was the first one okay! i even had to open the gate myself! lol then sheena &reeta came along on bus 12. we realised that its quite convenient for us to meet since bus 12 links tjc &tpjc! haha okay so we headed down to bedok resevoir to look for jo who had some canoing/ running duathlon. anw the shirt was so nice! despite plotting like, 101 ways to steal the shirt we still didn't manage to get it..... ):

and we sat around bedok resevoir and talked for damn long. and sheena was attarcting all thee weird green/ yellow flies. it was quite hilarious. and because we havent eaten anything we were starving so the twins &i said bye to jo and we went to..... PARKWAY! lol. really favourite place sia. again, we ate at kfc, and again, we headed over to macs afterward. more talking (but we did study a little bit also!) ensued. :D

in the end i decided not to skip school today. but my brother did &my mum kept asking me, are you sure you want to go to school? ya i did anyway, even tho the programme was quite sian. so after it ended i went to play soccer for awhile..................

I AM WATCHING IRAQ VS SAUDI ARABIA NOW. the Iraq keeper just pulled off this super great save. and now the Saudi Arabia keeper made two consecutive point blank saves! wahaha not bad aye and i thought this match would be boring. i think this Asian Cup has quite a few good goalkeepers. woohoo i'm home :D ! just checked my mail and guess what! hmmmmmmm, remember the other time when rh zham-ed me in the stomach by a ball, unintentionally of course. yesterday the pain came back again. this is like the second time the pain has come back ever since i got hit by the ball. but i'm not really sure if its because of that incident...... but then its the same kind of pain, tho not as painful when it first happened. and its quite irritating you know, cos the last time i recovered i thought that was the end of it already. then sometime last month it came back and disappeared within a day or so. and this month its here to haunt me again!!! wahlao like having period like that la. i dont want to go and see the doctor again cos the last time i went he said it was nothing (despite the fact that the pain went on continuously for 4 days &i couldnt even walk properly) and just gave some rub-on for muscle strain, when it was more of a stomach pain. its the kind of pain where its just a bit pain at first, then it gradually increases up to the point where i think i cannot take it anymore then it abruptly stops. just as i was celebrating, the ref had to spoil my magical moment by yelLow carding Guti! cos Guti got pushed and he was pissed so he confronted the stupid Mallorca player for pushing him and the ref gives the yellow card to Guti?! shortly after the ref confirms my suspicions that HE IS BIAS cos he yellow carded Reyes even though it was Reyes who got tripped!

Robinho had two chance denied by the Mallorca GK in the 73rd and 79th minute! but it doesn't matter because a minute later Diarra scores, what may be the winner! Real players celebrate like crazy, even van Nistelrooy joins the celebrations, running out from the bench to celebrate with his teammates on the pitch. and Casillas is damn happy, he actually cried! but hello, match not over yet so he should stop crying and focus!

okay the goal was damn funny i tell you. Diarra heads it, the keeper catches it just as he is falling into his own goal, so he tries to throw it out but it whacks the butt of the Mallorca defender standing at the right post and goes into goal! so it may just be a BUTT-OWN-GOAL!

funny day today. met eugene with lumps to get a crash course on organic chem. okay la, i did learn a lot, THANKS EUGENE! lol we were complaining that he sucks cos he kept playing that dota-like game on his laptop during breaks.

and after that i got introduced into the wonderful world of LOOT by who else but the game master eugene haha. then sx, bryan &sh came and we all played tgt. stupid eugene is damn noisy i tell you and he's also the slyest! after awhile some weird guy in weird shades with weird stubble came and told us we're not supposed to play cards in school so we went out to kfc to eat, eugene's treat!

after eating we played LOOT again. haha but then lumps got bored of it so we decided to go to the field near her house to kick ball. yeah it wasn't really a field after all, more like a sandpit. bout an hour later it started drizzling so we went to the shelter beside the field and (surprise! surprise!) played LOOT lol.

was having an extremely good game cos i was totally loaded up on ammo and was about to start my attacking spree when my dad came to pick me up! grrrrrr spoilt my one &only chance at winning! ):

past few days have been an awful lot of fun. tuesday morning was a spoiler, cos it was like bio day. it was crazy, bio spa, bio lecture followed by bio tutorial. finally got let off at around 1.30 then it was off to soccer chalet! heheh but i detoured and dropped by bedok cage for like 2seconds.

reached the chalet, and when i stepped in. whoa the noise was overwhelming. its like the market increased to 10times its size. then we played cards.. mahjong which was damn pathetic cos got no table so it was like mahjong on the floor and you cant see your own tiles.

then it was bbq time. i think i spent the most time by the pit waiting for my sambal sotong. and i kept adding packets of sambal sotong even when the bbq pit was full alr. aha so sorry to the bbq-ers. after the bbq we performed a musical for the seniors. okay, i dont think the seniors actually understood what the hell we were doing at first. and the prolly dint realise that it was a musical too. haha.

then they surprised us with an impromptu performance for us! and we kinda forced one out of mr au &mr chua. but it was damn funny, i loved it. when we went back in, played more mahjong, watched miss universe then played taboo. wahaha the best game especially when you hear all the hilarious descriptions. when the hair snows -dandruff. guy's private part..and can drink one -cocktail. both descriptions by yvette &bek respectively.

watched a video made by our coaches, and by then i was half asleep already. fell asleep, woke up at about 630 the next morning. discovered that some of them dint even sleep a wink at all mainly due to the lack of space. hurriedly washed up, packed and left for school along with bek, sh, sarah, fann &justine who was going home.

chilled at the sports com for awhile, waiting for those dsa people tho none turned up. jenna gave me the number of this girl who apparently was interested but when i contacted her, turned out she was asking on behalf of her friend who's a guy. pfft, so if youre interested and youre a GIRL, do please refer to the announcement below.

met lumps for awhile then she had to go home and couldnt go karaoke with us. haha i fell asleep at the karaoke room. not a bad place to sleep, i think it was cosier than the chalet la. and that was the end of 2days 1night with soccer girls. the moment i reached home had to rush out again, all the way to clementi somemore so i was dead tired by the time i was properly home again.

i'm confused! is Real Madrid top of the table now or what? according to some websites, they are but to others, their not. since that now both Barca and Real are drawn at 66 pts. by right according to goal difference, Barca should be top; but there's this weird goal average rule that i never heard of which states that Real is top.

it took me quite awhile to decide if i should blog or not. hm, but well decided to in the end mainly due to the lack of entries in this blog i think? its close to 2 years old but it hasnt even hit a hundred entries yet. haha.

i think i've heard the question "whyre you wearing specs?" and "you look very different, almost couldn't recognise you." about 10,000 times today. and also "you changed your wallet ah?" to those lucky few who got to see my gay not-so-new wallet (since i had it forever but didn't want to use it).

the answers to the two questions above is because i'm being manipulated by my parents. how embarrassing. ): ya, and i do not want to elaborate since i've repeated the story about 10,000 times.

my alarm rang at 2.45am this morning, i groggily dragged myself out of bed, crept into my parents' room and wasted 15mins watching Liverpool play CRAP FOOTBALL. yeah 15mins, not 90 because i decided that if Liverpool is going to play so shittily plus Benitez didn't start with Crouch, its not worth my precious sleep time at all. okay, maybe i did see one good thing from Liverpool, or rather Reina, when he made this fine point-blank save denying Lampard (?) i think. no worries, there's still the second leg next tuesday at Anfield, i have faith that Liverpool won't disappoint twice.

on a better, happier, much more FANTASTIC note: we beat HCI 3-0 yesterday. woooooots (: and guess what, Huimin did not even touch the ball at all thorughout the whole match. hm come to think of it, the ball never did enter our penalty box. hah, thats because of our great defenders, especially Huixian, whom may dad kept saying: "that number5, she very good ah. very stable. got the height somemore." and Gelin too, my dad actually compared her to GARY NEVILLE! wahaha. cos he say her throw-ins very well taken.

nobody can be of worser luck than me. firstly i got whacked very badly by a soccer ball on tues. then after that i had terrible stomach ache/ cramps, which have been going on until now NON-STOP. then today in the morn, i got my period. after school i went to see the doctor and he said my stomachache was nothing serious, so gave me this lotion to apply. when i reached home, i got headache so i went to rest. upon awakening i realised that i'm burning hot and measure my temp: 39.2degrees!!! omg. i think the doc diagnosed wrongly.. i think i got STOMACH FLU! arrrrghhhh. and guess what.. i havent told my parents yet. double OMG. i feel like dying. this week is the worst week of my life la.

anyway today TJ went to NUS to play 7-a-side soccer. then team b was drawn against SRJC, NUS, NUS Alumni and RP. but the other schools doesn't matter cos only NUS ALUMNI matters the most. haha. and the reason is. because. they play very well especially the GOALKEEPER. ahahaha.

i can imagine any of the soccer girls reading this and shaking their heads. okay let me retell the story for the 10MILLIONTH time. cos the NUS Alumni soccer girls almost all very bung one. the shuai-est is the goalkeeper and number3 la. ahahah but the game itself not very interesting la. except got one point when they take this corner kick. so i was telling Sarah to guard the far post and Huixian to mark this NUS girl in front of me. then that girl super kiam pa, she came towards me and this was how the convo went:

Kiam Pa Girl: where are you going to stand? here at the near post? so i stand here with you okay? you guarding this side right? i'll be here with you okay? i'm right beside you... blah blah blah (alot of crap)
Me: huh? what?
Huixian: DONT TALK TO HER!

afterwards i realised she was trying to distract me. wahhh feel like i was majorly duped and was super pissed cos i stupidly thought she trying to explain a rule or sth at first. but well who cares about that kiam pa girl. the main focus is SHUAI GOALKEEPER. who is a girl, no, a bung.

after the match. was damn sad cos i let in um quite a few goals. hahah i dont want to say the number. so was walking back dejectedly. and feeling extremely disappointed. but then i looked up and saw shuai gk walking somewhat towards me but i was walking somewhat away from her. aha so i reroute myself so that i was walking towards her and then I SHOOK HER HAND. OMG MY HEART FLEW FOR 2SECONDS. and she said "well done" in a very low voice (for a girl). but sadly i dint really treasure the moment cos was still feeling very down.

oh well later on i had my fill of staring at her. and got two pictures also in Huimin's cam, proudly taken by me. haiya come to think of it now should have asked to take photo with her. damn it why didnt i think of it just now. hahaha but the soccer girls listen to me talk about her until damn sian alr. esp Wendy, Fann &Shaz who had to take train home with me. and Jocelyn also cos at NUS i keep telling her how shuai that gk is.

just came back from trng. wah i dont know why my everywhere hurts. my knees, ankles, and toes! with the two gigantic blisters, one on each big toe. i bet you guys have never seen such gigantic blisters before. every trng they grow bigger.

so we played game during trng. i started out as goalie. then i felt damn failure cos i let in 2 goals. damn damn damn. but later on i swapped to right-back, which i think i played better. cos i managed to steal the ball from mr au! haha. it was quite tyco la but the rest said it was nice so i hope i can do it again.. heh.

and besides soccer there's school news too. today got alot of ppl's birthday ah. but the best birthday was john's cos we smashed cake into his face! aha.

haha. this is probably the one time when i praise myself about being hot, people will agree with me. cos... I'M REALLY HOT! got fever... haha. ytd was 39degrees, then after panadol, it dropped to 38.6degrees. then! this morning, it was 38.2degrees and now it's 37.8degrees after sponging with icewater. haha. should be able to go back to school by tmr... though i dun mind not going back, i wanna play delta captain ball on fri. that's my motivation for getting well and going to school. hehheh. byebye!

hello this is the first post for 2007 on this blog though its rather late, heh. andd i'm afraid it isnt good news. i'm sure all of you know how badly my dear Liverpool and Real Madrid are doing now, and NO I DONT WANNA TALK ABOUT IT. all i have to say is they better buck up soon (at least before champs league) otherwise theyre totally in NO STATE AT ALL to play against Barcelona and Bayern Munich respectively.

anyway, the bad news is that GUTI IS INJURED! he twisted his ankle and apparently according to the doc he'll be out for 10 to 15 days. that sucks.

PLUS: here's a little something extra to read. it was written by a friend and its quite interesting...

I'm not really a soccer fan. I think soccer players are good athletes and the game is challenging but it doesnt thrill me like many other sports do. Here's why.

1. LOW scoring cheats my emotions. - come on! 0-0 is NOT an acceptable outcome. In other games low scoring means incompetence. This is not the case. Top level soccer is low scoring as well thats BAD. Take away the offside rule ! Then we will have a real game! I am cheated when i stay up to watch at 3am and it turns out 0-0...

2. Flopping/Diving - This is ugly. Even in basketball when you may fall to draw a charge... thats a skill and it shows toughness to stand in front of a large man and let him knock you down. This is differrent in soccer. The attitude is weak. "oh he hurt me (not really), look at poor me (not really), mommy!!!" Untill you get the stretcher on the field, you never really know if its real. I believe if you get knocked down you get up IMMEDIATELY to show the opponent that you are not affected by whatever kind of rough play they plan to use.

3. It celebrates "good bulidups" and "posession of the ball". Uh.. who cares. Do people celebrate "near misses" in basketball, "dropped touchdown passes" in american football, "number of times within 5m of scoring" in rugby? NO, NO and NO.

First up: a La Liga update since the Straits Times' too busy with the Asian Games to really publish articles on Spanish football. even the EPL articles are so skimpy! oh well.

Levante 1:1 Barcelona
yes yes! this is a very favourable outcome. (of course, an extremely favourable outcome would be for Barca to lose but that may be asking too much) I am so proud of Levante, considering the fact that they are a newly promoted team. this reduces the point difference between Real Madrid & currently leading (but not for long) Barca.

Recreativo 2:0 Valencia
another newly promoted team upsets a 'major' club. this is an extremely favourable outcome. seriously, what is wrong with Valencia these days? only 5 wins out of 13 games, and they've dropped to 8th place. I think this calls for a change of coach, probably? I'm not complaining tho, anything that helps Real Madrid, I LIKE.

let's hope that Sevilla screws up against Espanyol and Real thrash Bilbao tomorrow. that would be so fab. (:

i'm so happy i must blog and i haven't blogged in like, 1849245 years. Liverpool beat Tottering-ham 3-0 and MARKIE (Gonzalez) scored.

but that's not the main focus. REAL MADRID BEAT BETIS 1-0. not a very impressive score, but guess what GUTI PLAYED THE FULL 90MINS WHILE RAUL WAS ON THE BENCH.

the coach has finally seen Guti's great potential. this is the second match under Capello he's played full 90mins. even Becks/ Reyes dosen't have the honour. and so Guti was captain! (=

having amaths now! haven't blogged for a long time man! shannon's beside me peeping through the small small hole in the blinds of the window trying to see who she can recognise who's running 2.4 now for PE! so dumb can. haha. anyway, i wanna go sa now. blame it all on yesterday having so much free time on the way home from piano, give me so much time to really think everything through lah. sigh... but i'll feel damn bad calling tjc up and telling them i wanna withdraw just one day after signing and handing in the acceptance form. so dumb. aiyah. but i was thinking, okay lah. after prelims then really think where i wanna go lah. if not my studies affected then everywhere also cannot go how? haha. oh ya, talk about piano. know right, i thought my examiner tested me wrongly, then had piano after the exam. so my teacher checked the syllabus and there it was! then my piano teacher still can blame me for not practising it lah! like what the hell!

World Cup Finals

L'ITALIA AVENGED LA SPAGNA!

Which basically translates to: Italy has avenged Spain! Yeah, 13 days after Spain bowed out of the World Cup I'm still pretty sore about it. So Italy has won the World Cup and they totally deserve it, what with the scandal back home.

The game was quite alright, for France to score so early would be an invitation for Italy to fight back. Zidane took the penalty kick, and the ball hit the crossbar before dropping just within the goal line. At first, I thought it wasn't a goal until I saw Zidane celebrating and the replays. First time Buffon let in a goal from the opponent.

True enough, Italy equalised in the 19th min when Pirlo took the perfect corner kick, it had to be, since it met Materazzi's head and found the net. While Barthez was flapping like a chicken (what else is new?).

Italy seemed to be aiming at tiring the French, but by the second half, it was France who were attacking while the Italians defended like crazy. But the Italian defence was impenetrable, with captain Cannavaro making several vital saves, and if the ball ever passed through the defensive wall, there was still the ever stable and reliable Buffon.

Luca Toni headed in what seemed would be the winner for Italy in the min, only to be disappointed when the linesman raised his flag for offside. But it wasn't offside! Oh well, the referee's decision prevails and the score remained 1-1. And Pirlo took a free kick which he missed by just a little bit.

So the game went into extra time which was pretty nerve wrecking because whichever team scored would most probably be the winner. Extra time was not very interesting... Until the infamous head butting incident occurred. I was awfully shocked by it. Suddenly there seemed to be a commotion and all I could see was Buffon running out of his goal post and looking really peeved and gesturing madly to the referee.

I'm surprised cos I've never seen Zizou act like that. You might blame Materazzi for provoking Zidane by talking a lot of crap, probably. But this is football, players would do anything to give their team the advantage (remember C. Ronaldo vs Rooney). So this was how the greatest magician of football history brought down the curtain of his football career, with a red card in the finals of the World Cup.

It seems that Materazzi was the one steering the match, granting a penalty kick To France, scoring the equaliser, than getting Zizou sent off. But both teams held on and it was left to a penalty shoot-out to determine their fates. France's chances were rather slim, Zidane, Ribery were off, and Henry had been replaced by Trezeguet, possibly because the French coach wanted to try and repeat history, where the same man came on as a sub and scored the golden goal which led to France winning the World Cup in '98.

No such luck though. Trezeguet brought about the defeat of the French team by missing his penalty kick. Pirlo, Materazzi, De Rossi, Del Piero & Grosso all delivered, none of them missed. Hence Italy are the champions of the 2006 World Cup, righteously so, as they have been very consistent with their performance in this WC.

Oh and the reason for this late update is because I wanted to see who would win the Golden Ball. Apparently, its Zidane. Maybe this would help allow him end his career on a better note. Except that the last time I checked, the Golden Ball was supposed to be awarded to the OUTSTANDING PLAYER IN THE FINALS. And by outstanding, I supposed they meant it in the good way, not the bad way. Sorry but even though I like Zizou well enough, I feel that Buffon, Cannavaro and Pirlo are more deserving of that award.

It was Bastian Schweinsteiger’s night. He scored two long-range stunners, and the third, an own goal by Petit, resulted from a free kick by, who else, Schweinsteiger. That guy was touted to have loads of potential and he only fully displayed it last night. Well, better late than never. And at the young age of 21, he’d still have much more opportunities. Oh and he got a yellow card straight after scoring the third goal, for taking off his shirt. I don't think that did anything to dampen his spirts though.

That own goal was the dumbest one I’d ever had the misfortune to witness. At the rate the ball was going, it was obviously not going to get into the net and Ricardo had been poised, ready to scoop it up when all of a sudden… Petit tried to be clever and stuck his leg out, but instead of stopping the ball, he gave it the momentum it needed to get into the net.

King Kahn played. Not as ‘Nummer Ein’ of course, in fact he was ‘Nummer Zwolf’. I’ve been hoping to watch him play and I finally got my chance. He’s still pretty good at the ripe old age of 36. Did you know that Lehmann’s also 36? The only difference is that for Lehmann, 36 is his prime but for Kahn, 36 is way past his prime. Yet, he managed quite a couple of saves.

However, the header by Nuno Gomes was unstoppable. I don’t think Lehmann would have been able to stop that either. Give Portugal some credit alright, they deserved that goal, considering the fact that they were playing really well. Figo should have came on earlier, he’s great as a playmaker.

So Germany takes third place while Portugal fourth. The Germans had quite a good World Cup, I suppose. Third place isn’t so bad, plus Podolski crowned Best Young Player, and Klose’s likely to take home the Golden Boot Award.

I don't think Cristiano Ronaldo deserves all this shit people are giving him now. Anger-management-retarded Wayne Rooney lost his cool for a couple of seconds, commits two obvious and deliberate fouls consecutively, gets sent off and you blame C. Ronaldo for it? So maybe C. Ronaldo had been egging the referee on, but if Rooney had not stomped on Carvalho in the first place, C. Ronaldo wouldn't have the chance to get him sent off.

I remember the exact same thing happened to David Beckham in World Cup '98. Antagonised by Argentina's Diego Simone, he kicked out at him and (surprise, surprise!) got himself sent off. At that point of time, people blamed poor Becks, not Simone. So shouldn't they be consistent now and blame Rooney instead of C. Ronaldo? Sending him for counseling first would be a good idea. Booing C. Ronaldo every time he has the ball is not a good idea.

Well. Italy vs France, who would have expected? Did you know that both teams have 2 really great midfielders? Italy has Andrea Pirlo, the Midfield Master, whereas France has Zinedine Zidane, the Midfield Magician. This will be especially interesting to watch.

Oh and I think FIFA is really bias you know. They’ve got the Golden Shoe Award for the player who scores the most goals and the Golden Ball Award for outstanding players in the tournament [the nominees are out and NONE OF THEM ARE GOALKEEPERS (except for ONE PATHETIC BUFFON)]. That’s why I’m going to create my very own Golden Glove Award for the goalie who makes the most fantastic saves. And to prove that I’m impartial and righteous and honest and upright and just, I’m not giving the award to Iker Casillas (ESP) though he kinda deserves it. No, I’m gonna give it to Ricardo (POR)! That’s for the 3 penalty shoot-out saves he made against England, and he rarely concedes a goal. He even had a hand to the penalty kick by Zidane. I actually wanted to give it to Zuberbuehler (SWI) but he totally sucks at penalty shoot-outs. Unlike Ricardo.

WORLD CUP SHOCKER

Brazil 0-1 France. I guess Zizou isn't gonna have such an early retirement after all. The We Hate France club membership has just increased by 100mil, thanks to all the Brazil fans (and i'm including those bandwagon jumpers who support Brazil just cos they won the previous World Cup). I knew Brazil wasn't gonna win this year. but i did not expect France, of all countries, to kick them out. Let's see, Ronaldinho was such a major disppointment and did not perform during the Brazil matches. I don't think people should criticise Ronaldo, at least he has 3 goals to his name, as compared to Ronaldinho's 0. As for the defeat, i guess i'll blame the coach for not fielding more of the younger players, Robinho for example.

Anyway, i totally did not want to talk about France at all cos i'm still pretty sore over them kicking my beloved Spain out. now when people ask me who i support, my answer's Germany. no i dont exactly support them i just want them to win the World Cup. my heart willl always be with Spain.. heh. Die, France, die!

I want to talk about the England vs Portugal match actually. England has done everyone a favour and are finally out. Frank Lampard is really suay, man. he had another 3 missed shots on goal and 1 missed during the penalty shoot out. Gerrard and Carragher missed too, or rather, their efforts got blocked by the Portugese goalie, Ricardo. wow, he's damn good ok. better then Zuberbuhler. Only Hargreaves' shot managed to find the net.

I commend England for being able to hold out for 2hours with just 10 men. Hot headed Rooney never learnt how to control his anger. After stomping on Carvalho, which would only give him a yellow card, he made matters worst by shoving Cristiano Ronaldo away, thus leading to him getting a direct send-off.

I welcome C. Ronaldo with open arms to join Real Madrid. Isn't it pretty obvious already? he's leaving Man U, definitely. The signs are there. First, there's the rumours of him leaving. Then, there's the falling out with his team mate. I bet you next, probably after the World Cup, he's gonna have a disagreement with Ferguson. All these happened to Beckham and Van Nistelrooy and subsequently, they left Man U.

Well, even if England got to the next round, they couldn't have defeated France with key players like Rooney and Terry out of the picture. its all Eriksson's fault (yeah, blame the coach again), for only including 3 strikers, and with Owen injured, he was only left with Rooney and Crouch. and 17-year-old Theo Walcott just wasted a a space on the Engalnd squad.

Now its up to Portugal to avenge Spain.

I almost got a heart attack when Casillas let in that one goal 8mins into the game. yeah, football matches always give me heart attack. heh. Spain fought back great tho, final score: Spain 3-1 Tunisia, while Spain manages to book their place in the next round of 16.

Well, i predicted Radhi Jaidi to score for Tunisia, After all, he's a Bolton player and i looove Bolton. hahah. But he didn't, that one goal was from this guy called Mnari, who plays in the German league.

Half-time, Spain was still one goal down. and i had to tell myself not to panic. Spain will fight back. and it was a great boost to see Raul and Fabregas come on as half-time subs. Wise Aragones made the right move (not the first time). Raul proved his worth by scoring the equaliser.

I almost cried when i watched that goal. I waited 71mins for it, you know. Joaquin came on as Aragones' third and final substitute. and oh man, he's really good. i underestimated him. The subs were making an obvious impact, Joaquin kept feeding balls to the strikers, Fabregas came close to scoring once or twice and he did set up Raul's and the next goal, which came just 5mins after Raul's goal.

Torres scored the winners. He scored twice. i was so happy when he got the second one in i jumped up and down and woke my dad up. Haha. and then Torres was awarded a penalty kick, where he faithfully met the ball with the net. The ball went just under the 40-year-old Tunisian goalie's arm. I knew it all along, that Spain will fight back.

I'd give Man of the Match to Xabi Alonso. He's a great midfielder, and controlled the pace of the game very well. and he was involved in the build-up for the first 2 goals too.

Now, Spain had emerged as a title contender.

England 2-0 Trinidad & Tobago

England started off slow, but finished off with a bang. by half-time, the score was still 0-0 and i was wondering if i was wasting my precious sleep time. Plus, there was one moment where England nearly ended up 1 down. i realised that goalkeepers always give me near heart attacks. Take Paul Robinson for example. it was a Trinidad&Tobago corner kick i think. Robinson was unable to get his hands on the ball, fell flat, and couldn't quite manage to pick himself up. With Stern's header, the ball looked set to cross the line. Thankfully, John Terry was there to make a superb goalline clearance.

Trinidad & Tobago are not bad know. They held Sweden to a 0-0 draw. i think Eriksson was starting to worry so Plan B was to put Rooney in and see if he could turn the tides. tho his performance wasn't spectacular, this would probably help him warm-up for the bigger games.

i was thinking of going off to sleep already when Becks took this corner kick. he'd already taken many corner kicks before but all were fruitless. this one proved to be different tho. Peter Crouch was poised ready... then, GOAL! Ah, finally. i wanted Crouch to score, heh, to see his famous (or infamous?) RoboCrouch dance.

But he disppointed me. He didn't do it. owell at least England was leading, after such a long wait. and Gerrard wrapped it up very nicely with one of his trademark long-shoot goals. final score: England 2-0 Trinidad & Tobago.

Many of the English players played really well and deserved to be man of the match..

Lennon, proved himself good enough to be on the starting line-up. Excellent passes.

Lampard, tho he missed several times, i'd give him credit for his countless efforts.

Spain 4-0 Ukraine

Spain 4, Ukraine 0. And to think Ukraine's supposed to be Spain's biggest threat in their group. what threat? Some may say Spain got lucky, with 2 free kicks and a corner kick contributing to their goals. So what if you minused off those 'lucky' goals.. Spain would still be 1-0 victorious thanks to Torres' 72nd min effort. With results like this, Spain just might be able to shed that image of underperformers.

The Ukrainian defenders were relentless on their attacks on Torres. Then Vashchuk got sent off for pulling Torres' shorts. I dont think he deserved a direct red card tho. maybe a yellow.. but not red. too harsh.

Shevchenko got caught offside so many times i lost count. i bet Jose Mourinho must be crying cos his heart aches over that 5mil pounds he wasted buying Shevy.

Sergio Ramos was being over ambitious. Quite a number of times i caught him upfield when he's supposed to be a right-back defender! i'd love him to score tho. Then can see him do his cartwheel and backflip. very pretty.

Man of the match?

I'd say David Villa for scoring 2 goals, but both were from free kicks so maybe he's just lucky. He did help to boost the Spanish morale tho.

I'd say Iker Casillas for his brilliant saves but then he made a stupid mistake at a point of time during the game, running out almost 50m from his goalpost in an attempt to get the ball from Voronin (but failed miserably), who looked set to score for Ukraine. Thankfully, Pablo was there to save the day with a timely tackle on Voronin.

Thus, my man of the match would be Carlos Puyol. He proved to be the centre of Spain's defense, never letting the Ukrainians come close to scoring a goal. i had a sense of deja vu tho, watching him defend Shevy. That was a few months back, during the Champions League semi-finals, AC Milan vs Barcelona. back then, i had been on Shevy's side. right now, i'm 100% Puyol. Haha. He was also the architect of Spain's fourth goal, and he deserves full credit for that.

I had faith in Shevy you know. i predicted the score to be 3-1 or 4-1. The 1 goal being Shevy's.. Hai, he disppointed me. But, Espana no decepcionara!

World Cup on Tuesday

HELLLLOOOO (= world cup has started and i havent been updating. watched the matches yest and this morning. that's Togo vs Korea Rep, France vs Switzerland & Brazil vs Croatia.

my favourite's the Togo vs Korea Rep. heh. was kinda disappointed when Ahn Jung Hwan wasn't on the starting line-up. and then there was the new face of #19 (Ahn was 19 in 2002, he's 9 now) Cho Jae Jin.

he's tireless, shows quite some potential even tho he dint score during the game but came close once. Togo players were quite rough, especially with Park Ji Sung. Probably because he's a Man U player? poor guy, he fell down like a gazillion times i was so scared he'd break his leg. Lee Young Pyo (Tottenham) is another player who deserves some credit, constantly running along the side of the field thus providing his teammates great coverage.

there was this weird Togo tribal dance. um?

HALF-TIME. Korea's one down. i was kinda worrying but my dad was telling me: "Don't need to worry one, I have faith in Korea. They won't be like Japan." (Japan, after scoring one goal aginst Aussie, dint quite manage to keep up their form and lost 3-1 in the end)

Ahn was a half-time sub and the fengshui totally changed ok. Korea was a changed team, attacking attacking attacking. and then Lee Chun Soo scored the equaliser in a free kick.

by this time, Togo was a 10 men team. the captn got sent off for another ruthless tackle on Park (finally!). my dearest Ahn scored the winner in the 72nd min.

man of the match? Ahn Jung Hwan, definitely. but with world class players like Park Ji Sung, Lee Young Pyo & goalie Lee Woon Jae who made many vital saves, Korea proves themselves as a world class team.

France vs Switzerland was a disappointment, tho i'd name the Swiss goalie, Zuberbuhler as the man of the match.

and finally... Kaka scored in the Brazil vs Croatia match. 1-0. should have been more tho, considering the fact that Brazil is ranked 1 and Croatia 23.

my much awaited TOP 10 HOTTEST GOALKEEPERS LIST is finally out! (= after much researching, rejecting & reconsidering, i've finally decided on 10 lucky ones! hah. (this is what happens after exams when you suddenly have nothing to do.)

1. IKER CASILLAS, Real Madrid
i'm a Real Madrid fan through and through so i'm definitely putting him at number 1. heh. and he deserves it too.

he was on the list the moment i saw the Barca vs AC Milan match. tho most of the time he's shouting across the whole field.
